RULES

THESE ARE NOT EXHAUSTIVE. PLEASE ENQUIRE AT THE YC FOR A PAPER COPY!

RULES TO BE READ BY EACH PARENT AND CHILD FOR PARTICPATING AT THE

FILLING STATION YOUTH CENTER

*BY ANY CHILD ATTENDING OR PARTICIPATING AT THE YC, BYEA HAS BEEN GIVEN PERMISSION, BY PARENTS, FOR PHOTOGRAPHS TO BE TAKEN OF THAT CHILD FOR BYEA TO USE AT THEIR DISCRETION, AND SAID CHILD AND PARENTS AGREE TO BYEA’S POLICIES, RULES AND GUILDELINES OR SAID CHILD WILL BE DENIED PARTICIPATION IN THE YC PROGRAM!

*THIS IS PRIVATE PROPERTY, not community owned! BYEA has legal right to ask any individual to leave their property, just as you do at your home. We have opened our “home” to provide a fun-loving, Christian atmosphere for children 4-17. If your child does not respect our home and/or our rules, we will suspend any child/children from participating in our program if we feel it necessary! We have 24 hour video surveillance inside and out. Any individual on BYEA property subjects themselves to inspection and photographs. Metal detector is in use and all individuals subject themselves to inspection of their being & belongings in adherence to our security policies...SAFETY BEFORE FUN!

*Rides need to be at the facility by closing time! Be respectful of our volunteer's time - when we close they want to get home! Due to volunteers not being allowed to take children home, any child left past closing, without a ride, will be taken to the police department for our officers to take home. If delayed pick up is a repeated offense, your child/children will not be allowed to attend until a change has been achieved by their parents.

*NO ADULT is allowed past the security gate unless they are a BYEA Volunteer (Police Record Check Approved, Pastor Recommendation Approved or BYEA Board Approved) and that adult may NOT be in the building within 30 minutes of closing!  If you, as a parent, must come inside, you must arrive BEFORE 30 minutes from closing and your stay must be brief!  Please DO NOT use the time, which the center is open for the children, to discuss matters. The volunteer staff is here during those open hours to minister to the children. If you need to talk with a volunteer, please call when closed and an appointment can be made.

*We MUST have a valid phone number, in our database at the center, to contact a parent/guardian, at all times! This is the responsibility of each parent/guardian to keep the center informed with updated contact information for your child to be allowed to continue to attend. YOU will forfeit your child's participation if we cannot contact you! We reserve the right, and will act upon, sending any individual home due to improper conduct. Parents and/or police will be contacted if deemed necessary. We reserve the right, and will act upon, closing the facility down, for the night, due to improper conduct, etc. if deemed necessary. This is another reason why parents need to keep our database updated with correct telephone numbers, etc.

*By entering our program you understand and agree to our policies & rules! You agree to the necessity in following our safety rules in the games & activities that we provide, ex: Swings, Skating, Climbing Rock, Go-Cart, Bike Course, Ball Games, etc...

*If you want your child to remain at the center the entire time - YOU must enforce that with them. We cannot make a child stay at the center, but if the parent informs us, then we can call either the parents or police if the child leaves the property. Once a youth leaves the building, they are not allowed to return that night unless they have it cleared with a volunteer first. NO exceptions! They may return the next time the center is open. NO running in & out of center. If a youth is dropped off at the center, checks in, but then leaves to run the streets or go to friends, then returns just in time to be picked up at the center by parents - to appear that they were at the center the entire time....parents will be informed of this deception!

*If your ID card is lost, etc. NO other card will be issued until the next year. You will still be able to get in but you will have to wait in line until all those with their cards are processed. It is the responsibility of the youth & parent to make sure the youth has their card. Those with their cards get in first.

*When a tornado watch or warning has been issued, the center will not be open. If one is issued while the center is already open, parents are to come to the center immediately to pick up their child!

*If sick or battling head lice do not come to the center! If the child did not attend school due to sickness &/or fever or head lice they are to stay home until well! Please be considerate of the other families in our community!

*No fighting / threatening or police will be called! No sexual behavior or talk will be tolerated! Keep hands to yourself and your tongue under control. We will contact our police officers to take care of all situations that we feel put BYEA in a compromised and vulnerable situation! Parents will be called next!

*No drugs or paraphernalia, smoking, swearing, alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, weapons, chains, lasers, gang colors, gang paraphernalia, headphones, radios.

*The center's "dress code" is at the discretion of the BYEA board of directors. If board members feel that a youth has on inappropriate clothing then that youth will be asked to turn it wrong-side out or to go home to change. Pants must be pulled up and if not a safety pin will be used.

*We do not want to be able to tell who is boyfriend or girlfriend - no physical touching or kissing, keep all "tendencies" under control. Talk with a volunteer if you have struggles.

*Accidents happen, but if you vandalize the facility, property or games - you & your parents will be responsible to reimburse the center for the damages. Please help us keep the center free of charge!

*No backpacks or purses are allowed in center. Do not bring things in from home or anything of value into the center - we will not be responsible for anything brought in. Anything brought in will be subject to inspection, metal detector and taken from child. If phone is brought it is to be used in only calling/texting parents. No playing phone games, etc. No showing another child anything on the phone for if said child is accused of showing inappropriate things, police must be notified!
